One Day Closet Makeover

I'm back! Happy 2013!
I know I have been really bad at posting to my blog but there really have been no projects going on. I've been busy busy busy working two jobs and keeping up with my chicken girls ( I will have to post on update on them later) and just trying to be mom and wife and homemaker. I really don't know how some women do it but any who along with an increase in taxes, ugh, 2013 brought on a project....not a big one but one I am quite proud of and thought I would share.
Now I don't know about any of you but I am obsessed with Pinterest and the slew of ideas and just plain awesome stuff there is on there. I had been thinking of doing a built in dog kennel for my Tulip girl for sometime but with a few ideas from Pinterest I finally decided to go for it. Now I also had been wanting to do something with my split entry closet as well and thought why not meld the two together in one awesome project. Of course if it involves lumber and power tools I leave that up to my contractor aka the hubby because mostly he doesn't trust me not to cut off a limb and he may be right in doing so ( I can be rather accident prone). So I convince, connived, tricked, whatever, him into working on his day off New Year's Day (I'm so mean!) and he made me a beauty.

Isn't she adorable?!

Before- minus the clutter and junk

She doesn't look too thrilled about her future home

Ta-Da! I'm pretty excited and hope you all love it! And hope you will take the leap and make your home everything "YOU" want it to be. Ta-ta for now! Happy blogging!

  2. Oh, can I borrow your hubby? I have my own power tools, but like you am accident prone. Adorable closet. I need to do that.

  3. Haha, I do have to say he does work more readily for others than he does for me but I guess that's what he gets paid for ;). Thank you for the compliments. So far Tulip is not in love with her new home but I think she just needs to get used to it. I even added an adorable fluffy dog bed in there for her.
