Okay I don't usually like photos of myself but I had to tell all about this amazing new hair product find. There I was at the doctor's office for my weekly allergy shot (yeah, not fun at all) and they actually had some currently magazines. Good Housekeeping summer/fall issue not sure what month but they had Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy (
http://www.drugstore.com/organix-brazilian-keratin-therapy-30-day-smoothing-treatment/qxp336549?catid=183459&tab=1#1) and might I say it is an amazing product. Now if you have frizzy, curly, unruly hair then you should try this but proceed with caution. Although I love how it has straighten my hair it does have an interesting smell (read some Drugstore.com reviews) but since using it I have gotten tons of compliments on how nice my hair looks. It does deliver straight, non-frizzed, shiny results, I still have to flat iron but it takes half the time to do it and last really, really long. But remember to follow the directions to a tee and do not over saturate your hair because the results will not be fun at all. But the smell which Nate says is like burnt popcorn (not attractive) is annoying but isn't as bad when hair is dry and I don't mind maybe it will keep the people away! Hahaha!

yeah, i tried straightening my hair once (with the permanent stuff) and i left it in the maximum time, and still- curly. just frizzier than ever (which is saying something.) i never can find enough time to flat-iron, though i tried to in high school (and ended up with frizz- again) so, i've decided to EMBRACE the curl! whoo hoo! i mean, seriously, all i have to do is shower/condition, put in either mousse or got2b hair glue, run a brush through it once, and then let it go wild!
ReplyDeletenow, if only i could figure out how to cover my newly acquired gray (actually white- like thread) hair in a way that doesn't look completely crazy. last week, i let the hubs pick and my hair turned out purple (which is not a look that i can pull off) i had to put in that stuff that strips the dye out, so it turned fluorescent orange, then i tried to calm it down with a light coppery brown color, but seriously it's still orange. yikes! i've just decided to leave it this way, because i'm afraid if i put any more chemicals on it, it will fall right out! eeks!
i still freak out when i walk by reflective surfaces... i now have these paranoid dreams of being stalked by the mascot for the Wendy's fast food chain! AAAHHHHHH!!!!!
oh! and i love that pic on the wall behind you!
ReplyDeleteThat print was from Ikea (one of my favorites) about 6 years ago. I also have a tribal dancer next to this one, I guess I shall have to post my bathroom makeover I did this past winter/spring. Sorry to here about your hair woes...I know all too well how that can go having had really bad experiences in the past. Now that my hair is in order time to work on my face. Adult acne and scarring is not a fun thing to deal with for sure.
ReplyDeleteI go curly in the summer, as you know, but I found a good new conditioner as well. It's the Ever Strong Sulfite free stuff from Loreal, I think. My hair has been so smooth ever since I've started using it. I must check that stuff out if this doesn't work out.
